Business Associate Agreement

Last Updated: May 8, 2026

This page is a starting point and information resource for organizations that may need a Business Associate Agreement for eligible HIPAA-regulated workflows. It is not itself an executed Business Associate Agreement and should not be treated as a generic one-size-fits-all agreement.

Engagement-specific agreements

Audia Systems LLC, DBA Bailey Enterprises provides a diverse range of services, technologies, research activities, consulting engagements, software platforms, prototypes, APIs, infrastructure services, and data-processing workflows. HIPAA, privacy, security, retention, access-control, and data-processing obligations vary based on the services being provided.

Because every client relationship, technical implementation, and regulatory obligation is unique, Business Associate Agreements are typically developed or modified to reflect the specific services, data flows, security requirements, compliance obligations, and operational responsibilities associated with a particular engagement.

BAA templates and tailoring

Audia Systems LLC maintains Business Associate Agreement templates for eligible healthcare, research, clinical, and covered-entity clients. Because every client relationship, technical implementation, and regulatory obligation is unique, BAAs are typically reviewed, developed, or modified to reflect the specific services, data flows, security requirements, compliance obligations, and operational responsibilities associated with a particular engagement.

Depending on the nature of the services being provided, additional provisions, security requirements, data-processing terms, retention terms, access-control obligations, technical architecture details, or project-specific responsibilities may be incorporated into the final agreement.

Before PHI is handled

Organizations seeking a Business Associate Agreement are encouraged to contact Audia Systems LLC before transmitting, storing, processing, or granting access to Protected Health Information (PHI) so that an agreement appropriate to the engagement can be prepared.

Do not submit PHI into general forms, prototypes, demos, public websites, or unapproved workflows. A BAA may need to be executed before PHI is processed, transmitted, stored, accessed, or connected to Audia Systems LLC services.

No generic agreement

Avoid relying on any generic, unsigned, or unreviewed BAA for a specific engagement. This page does not provide a downloadable agreement and does not replace contract review, security review, workflow scoping, or project-specific compliance analysis.

No overclaim

This page does not claim that every website, prototype, dashboard, app, API, infrastructure service, consulting engagement, or software platform is HIPAA compliant. HIPAA-regulated workflows require documented scope, controls, roles, responsibilities, and written agreements.

Discuss a tailored BAA
